How to Point Your Domain to Your Hosting

< 1 min read

To make your website work, your domain name needs to point to your hosting account. This is usually done by updating your nameservers or DNS records.

Step 1: Log in to your Client Area
Go to the Orion Host Client Area and log in.

Client Area:
https://orionhostweb.com/billing/clientarea.php

Step 2: Go to Domains
Click on Domains to view the domain names in your account.

Step 3: Select your domain
Choose the domain you want to connect to hosting.

Step 4: Update nameservers
If your hosting service provides nameservers, update your domain to use those nameservers.

Step 5: Save changes
After updating your nameservers, save the changes.

Step 6: Wait for DNS propagation
DNS changes can take a few minutes to several hours. In some cases, full propagation can take up to 24–48 hours.

Important:
If your domain is registered with another company, you may need to update the nameservers from that provider’s dashboard.

Still need help?
