How to Change Your Nameservers

< 1 min read

Nameservers tell your domain where your website, email, and DNS records are managed. Updating nameservers is often required when connecting a domain to hosting.

Step 1: Log in to your Client Area
Go to the Orion Host Client Area.

Client Area:
https://orionhostweb.com/billing/clientarea.php

Step 2: Go to Domains
Open the Domains section and select the domain you want to manage.

Step 3: Find Nameserver Settings
Look for Nameservers, Manage Nameservers, or DNS Settings.

Step 4: Choose custom nameservers
Select the option to use custom nameservers if needed.

Step 5: Enter your hosting nameservers
Add the nameservers provided by your hosting account.

Example:
ns1.example.com
ns2.example.com

Step 6: Save changes
Click Save or Update.

Step 7: Wait for propagation
Nameserver changes can take a few minutes to several hours. In some cases, full propagation may take up to 24–48 hours.

Important:
Changing nameservers can affect your website and email if DNS records are not configured correctly.
